Actor-director Dhanush has announced that his upcoming film ‘OM’ will not be released as scheduled, citing clashes with Rajinikanth and Suriya's films.
In a post on X, Dhanush said Rajinikanth's film is set to release on October 15, a day before ‘OM’, and that he decided to postpone his film's release out of respect for the veteran actor.
Dhanush also said ‘OM’ will not release during Diwali this year as Suriya's film has already been announced for the festival date.
He said the makers of Suriya's film announced their release date first and that big films should have "mutual understanding and respect" for each other's decisions.
Dhanush said a new release date for ‘OM’ will be announced soon.
